We’re nearing the end of October, which means it’s almost time for progress reports and Parent Teacher Conferences. Please read the details below for sign-up and other information.

We had a full and fun week, with our annual school photos and a Pink day for Secondary to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Look out for upcoming important dates and events, and check out the week’s highlights in the link at the end of the newsletter.

PowerSchool will be closed from this Friday through Thursday, October 31. This is while we are preparing Progress Reports and data syncing. Some errors can happen in the reporting, and we want time to check and fix the errors before the reports are made public for parents.

PowerSchool will be opened back up on Friday, November 1. At this time you can again access MAP test scores. You will also be able to see your children’s Progress Reports from Quarter 1, and can start signing up for Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC) on Tidal.

Parent Teacher conferences are going to be held over two days: Thursday, November 7 and Tuesday, November 12. Both days are from 4 – 8PM. Sign-ups are through Tidal on PowerSchool and will begin from next Friday, November 1. You will also be able to access your children’s Progress Reports next Friday, which will be helpful for the PTCs.

We will put out a reminder again next week, including a tutorial on how to sign up.

We are excited to have the College Fair again this year. This is a wonderful opportunity for our high school students to see the various university and college options that are available locally and abroad. We have at least 14 universities confirmed.

The College Fair will take place next Tuesday, October 29 at 2:00 PM in the auditorium. Parents are also invited, so please diarize this date!

Students in grades 3 to 12 will take the ABT starting November 4th. It is an international test taken in Arabic speaking countries. It measures students’ achievement and growth in Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies subjects.

The purpose of this assessment is to help teachers understand where students are ready to start learning, how they are growing over time, and the strengths and areas of improvement.

To support students during the assessment, please ensure they arrive to school on time, are well rested, and properly nourished. This helps them remain focused during the day and increases their stamina during the test. Test results will be shared with parents once the testing is completed.

WellSpring is turning 10 - come celebrate! On Friday, November 15 from 4-7pm, join us for a family celebration. Bring your picnic and blanket, and come enjoy an afternoon of fun and festivities. We will have food vendors, an ice cream truck, a jumping castle, a petting zoo, a stage, music and more!
