Highlights of the week

Business Entrepreneurship Sales day!

The middle school Business Entrepreneurship students spent the second semester researching, planning, marketing, and finally presenting their business ideas to a panel of judges. Included in their presentation was a financial outline and request for a start-up amount. The course culminated in a Sales Day where the 11 groups set up their tables and ultimately tried to sell out of their products and make the biggest profit possible. The investor money they received then needed to be paid back with interest.

Elementary PE and Athletics awards

Elementary PE and Athletics students who stood out this semester were recognized and awarded certificates for their achievements.

A special mention to Jireh Balloqui, Grade 5, who broke the Elementary LifePlus pacer record (which means he holds the record for all the Elementary students across our 5 schools in China and WellSpring in the UAE).

Grade 2 Reader's Theatre

Our grade 2s presented King Midas & the Golden Touch and Pandora's Box at their Reading Theatre. Reader's theatre is an oral reading of a script and is used to promote reading fluency and expression. It is also another way to enhance comprehension of text, as well as to create interest in and enthusiasm for learning. It was a wonderful way for grade 2 to showcase their skills to their parents and other grades.
