Highlights of the Week
2024-25
HS Psychology
The high school Psychology students spent an afternoon with KG2 and Grade 5 students conducting activities that helped the Psychology class understand which stage of psychological development the young children were at.
For instance, they asked the students, "Imagine a world where no one has any thumbs. What would life be like?" Students at a higher developmental stage can imagine a world without thumbs and describe in detail how life would be different. They can think abstractly. Students at an earlier developmental stage will have a harder time thinking abstractly and therefore will have a harder time imagining a situation they have not experienced.
D.E.A.R. time!
It's reading month, and one of our fun reading activities is the D.E.A.R. challenge: Drop Everything And Read! Students and staff all over the school had to drop everything at 12 noon yesterday and read for 10 minutes. Who knows when the next D.E.A.R. time will be, but have a book ready at all times!
