The importance of student well-being
This is a big year for our Pre-K students, their first time in "big school". It can be a bit scary. To help their transition process, Ms. Thea read The Kissing Hand to them, a beloved book about the reassurance of a mother's love as her child leaves for school, and the students made inspired crafts.
At WellSpring we ensure that every child is cared for and supported in all aspects of their growth – academic, physical and social-emotional. We believe that students learn best when they are calm, regulated and alert, and in an environment where they feel appreciated and safe. Student well-being and social-emotional support is a crucial component of our program, right from Early Childhood through to High School.
Netball practice! 🏐
Our netball girls are honing their skills and looking forward to competing in the EISSA (Emirates International Schools Sports Association) tournament happening in a few weeks. Let's go WellSpring Wolves!
Handbells
Ms. Kristi and her high school Handbell students demonstrated their instruments to Grade 1. The first graders have been studying sounds and vibrations, and they had many interesting questions and observations for the musicians during the interactive class.
