WellSpring Weekly

June 13, 2024

Dear Parents,

With very few days left on the school calendar, we have lots of things going on still at WellSpring. With the official released dates for the upcoming Eid holiday, please note that school will resume on Wednesday through Friday next week. Secondary exams have also been shifted slightly which will hopefully ease some exam pressure!

We’ve had some wonderful moments to reflect on the past year and hand out awards to our students in all categories – arts, sport and academics. Please note that Secondary academic achievements will be recognized at the start of the new school year.

We’re hoping to see many of you at the Senior graduation ceremony tomorrow evening, more details below. It’s always an exciting but bittersweet milestone to watch our seniors graduate as we release them into the next chapter of their lives.

Read the important notices below, and enjoy the week’s highlights by following the link at the end of the newsletter.

Senior Graduation

We are excited to celebrate the senior graduation of the class of 2024! It will be held this Friday, June 14 in The WellSpring Private School Auditorium at 5:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

WellSpring is proud to honor the work and achievements of this graduating class and to celebrate this milestone with the graduates and their families!

Secondary exams

Due to the freshly released dates for Eid, we want to confirm the exam plan on our return to school after Eid. The biggest change is that we will now have (as per our original plan) exams over 4 days, starting on Friday, June 21. Please see the updated middle school and high school schedules on Canvas.

Last day of school

The last day of school on Wednesday, June 26 will be a half day.

EC and Elementary (Pre-KG to Grade 5) will dismiss at 11:30 AM. Please make arrangements for your children to be picked up at 11:30. Buses will leave at 11:40.

Secondary will follow their exam schedule and will dismiss at 10:40 AM. For families with children in both EC/Elementary and Secondary, if you would like your Secondary student to remain until 11:30 and be picked up with the rest of your family or to wait and ride the bus home, please email Ms. Samah at Samah.Osman@tws-rak.org to let us know.

Parent Survey

As part of their ongoing efforts to improve parent engagement and enhance the overall experience within Ras Al Khaimah private schools, the RAK Department of Knowledge encourages all parents to partake in the survey below. Re-enrollment 2024-25

The deadline for re-enrollment is the end of this month. Please settle any balances and re-enroll your child for next year as soon as possible, as we cannot guarantee your child’s seat for next year unless they have been re-enrolled.

The process takes place on PowerSchool via the parent portal. Log into your account, and there is a section for re-enrolling your child(ren) easily and electronically. Here are instructions on how to access the portal.

There are three steps to complete the re-enrollment process:
Step 1 - Settle the remaining overdue balance for 2023-24.
Step 2 - Complete PowerSchool re-enrollment process: https://powerschool.lifepluslearning.com/public/
Step 3 - Make the re-enrollment deposit of 2000 AED for 2024-25 to secure a space for your child.
The deadline for re-enrollment is June 30, 2024.

LifePlus Quality of the Month:

Compassion

Compassion is helping those who are hurting.

There’s more to learning than gaining knowledge. To bring transformation from the inside out, we stay true to our values and invite our students, families and community to do the same.

This month as we focus on Compassion:
We will show love and kindness to others; we will listen to others before we speak.

Looking ahead:
