Ocean Week

Azraq is a UAE-based non-profit marine conservation organization founded in 2017 to protect and preserve ocean ecosystems. The name means "blue" in Arabic, reflecting its mission to safeguard marine biodiversity through education, clean-ups, coral and mangrove restoration, and youth engagement. Azraq runs community-driven programs like beach cleanups, school workshops, and awareness campaigns to reduce plastic use and marine pollution. They also partner with organizations like Coralife to support reef restoration. Volunteers, donors, and members play a key role in advancing their vision of healthy, thriving oceans. This week, we had a speaker representing Azraq inform and challenge our students on ocean conservation.

Dive Down!

To celebrate Ocean Week, our stairwell was decorated with the different levels of the ocean, and students were invited to 'dive down as you go up the stairwell'. Well done to the Ocean Week team for a brilliant display!
