Meet the Parent Council!

Our 2024-25 Parent Council had their first meeting of the year today. Our Parent Council is an integral part of our community, forming the valuable connection between school and parents. Look out for many events and opportunities coming up in the year ahead.

Grade 5 Composting Club 🍂🌿

Grade 5 had an amazing opportunity to get their hands dirty in class! Ms. Emma gave a great lesson on why we compost and different ways of doing so.
Composting has many benefits, including reducing the need for pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, enriching soil, and promoting healthy and resilient plant growth.🌱
Students were divided into groups: the Bin Busters, the Bokashi Bunch, the Worm Squad and the Compost Champs. Each group learned a specific way to compost and will look after their bins until they are able to use their broken-down compost in the gardens.

Connection awards

Last month we focused on Connection, one of our 9 Qualities for Life. Connection is defined as 'treating others with honor and dignity'.
EC and Elementary students who displayed the quality of connection were recognized during assembly this week.
